Brand Photography
What does the annual photography subscription include?

One on-site shoot per year at your Kelowna location. Interior and exterior shots, staff or owner portraits, product or service-in-action photography, and a dedicated set of GBP-optimized photos sized and labeled for your Google Business Profile. You receive a full gallery of ready-to-use images — website headers, social content, GBP uploads, whatever you need them for.

The subscription model means this renews annually. Business spaces change, teams change, and stale photography is a ranking signal working against you. Annual renewal keeps your visual content current and keeps the Google ranking signals active.

Why does Google care about real photography?

Google's local ranking algorithm increasingly treats authentic original photography as a trust signal. A business with no photos, stock images, or visuals that haven't been updated in years sends a weak signal that the business may not be actively operating. Businesses with recent, original, correctly categorized photos consistently outperform those without them in the Maps pack.

Beyond rankings, it's a customer credibility issue. Most people will look at a business's photos before they call or walk in. Stock images read as generic. No images read as unestablished. Real photos of your actual space and people are the most direct trust signal available.

Do you offer drone photography?

Yes. I use a DJI Mini 4 Pro for aerial photography and video. This is an add-on to the annual subscription and is most applicable for construction, landscaping, hospitality, commercial real estate, and outdoor venue businesses — where establishing location, scale, and setting is valuable. If you think aerial would work for your business, mention it when we talk.

Can you just do a one-time shoot instead of a subscription?

The primary offering is an annual subscription because the ongoing visual refresh is what generates the ranking benefit. A single shoot goes stale. That said, if you have a specific short-term need — a new service launch, opening event coverage, or a one-time GBP update — call and we can discuss what makes sense for your situation.

Website Launch & Setup
I used AI to build my website and now have files but it's not live. Can you help?

Yes — this is one of the most common situations I work with. You used ChatGPT, Claude, Wix, Squarespace, or a builder tool and produced output. The gap between that output and a live, indexed, properly configured website is the service I provide.

I take your files, deploy them to managed hosting, configure your domain DNS, install SSL, set up your professional email, submit to Google Search Console, connect your Google Business Profile, and register your business on Apple Business Connect. Are you a web developer? Can you rebuild my site from scratch?

My focus is deployment and configuration, not custom development. What I do is take what already exists — AI-generated output, builder exports, or existing sites that need cleanup — and convert, configure, and deploy them correctly.

Most clients don't actually need a custom build. They need their existing output properly deployed and connected to the web's infrastructure. That's where I operate.

How long does the launch process take?

Most standard launches complete within a few business days once I have access to your files and domain. Domain transfers can add a few days depending on the registrar. The longer part is often getting access to your existing accounts (especially when a previous developer or platform is involved). Once I have what I need, the actual technical setup is fast.

A freelancer built my site and has disappeared. Can you still help?

This is recoverable in most cases. I deal with this regularly. The approach depends on what you have access to — your domain registrar account, any hosting credentials, file backups. Call and describe your situation and I'll tell you what's possible and how long it will take. Don't wait on this one: if your domain is expiring or your hosting is lapsing, act sooner.

What's different about hosting through OmniMetrics vs. GoDaddy or Squarespace?

The infrastructure is industry-standard — the same quality of managed hosting, SSL, backups, and uptime guarantees you'd get anywhere reputable. The difference is the support. When something breaks, you call a direct number and reach the person who knows your setup. No tickets. No first-level support reading from a script.

For businesses on Squarespace or Wix, there's also a significant cost difference. Platform hosting at $30–$50/month (or more) for what amounts to a template wrapper is expensive when managed hosting with a direct support line is available at the same or lower price point.

What's the "free site conversion" migration offer?

If you migrate your existing hosting to OmniMetrics and sign a minimum hosting term, I convert your existing site — cleaning it up, reconfiguring it for the new hosting environment, updating SSL, reconnecting GBP, and updating Search Console — at no additional charge.

This is a deliberate trade: I accept the setup work now in exchange for the hosting relationship. It works because hosting is a long-term recurring service and the conversion cost is recoverable over the term. Call to discuss the specifics for your site.

Which hosting plan do most clients use?

Most local small businesses with one website, 5–10 email accounts, and under 10,000 visitors per month fit comfortably on the Business Secure plan at $69/month. That covers 25 GB storage, 250 GB bandwidth, 10 email accounts, SSL, daily backups with 14-day retention, and firewall/DDoS protection. See the hosting page for the full plan comparison.

Local SEO & Google Business Profile
What does local visibility management actually involve month to month?

On an ongoing basis: monthly posts to your Google Business Profile, regular photo uploads and rotation, review monitoring and professional response drafting, service area configuration updates as needed, and monthly reporting showing searches, views, calls, and direction requests from your profile.

My business is already on Google. Why would I need ongoing management?

Because Google's local algorithm weights recency and activity signals. A profile that was set up two years ago and hasn't had a new photo or post since then is a weaker signal than an actively managed one. Competitors who are posting, uploading photos, and accumulating reviews regularly will outrank a static profile over time — even if your underlying business is stronger.

The other issue is the maintenance reality. Most business owners don't post to their GBP regularly, don't upload photos strategically, and don't respond to reviews consistently. Ongoing management handles that layer without you having to think about it.

Do you do national SEO or e-commerce optimization?

No. My SEO work is focused on local and regional visibility — the Kelowna and Okanagan market. Google Maps pack, local organic rankings, GBP signals, and the content strategy that supports local search intent. If you need national SEO or e-commerce optimization, that's a different scope and a different specialist.

How do I know if you're the right fit for my business?

The clients who get the most value from working with me are local Kelowna or Okanagan businesses with one or more of these situations: they have a half-built or not-live digital presence; they're online but invisible in local search; they have no real photography; or they're overpaying for hosting with poor support and no direct contact.

If you want a full-service agency with layered account management and enterprise retainer structures, that's not what I offer. Do you work with clients outside of Kelowna?

For hosting, website setup, and Google profile management — yes, geography doesn't matter for those services. For brand photography, I'm based in Kelowna and primarily serve the Okanagan region. Travel for photography outside the valley is possible depending on the scope — call to discuss.
